Differentiated Identities of Firm and Customers and Formation of Business Ecosystem:A Multiple Case Study on Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Haier
WANG Fengbin,ZHENG Tenghao,WANG Shuwen
Based on the multiple identities of the paired firm and customers, this study seeks to explore the relationship among actors involved in their symbiotic business ecosystem and induces the endogenous mechanisms underlying the ecosystem’s evolution and development. Applying the logic of replication on three intrapreneurship cases embedded in Haier Group and their ecological business systems, we induce a framework composed of five hetergeneous elements that are interconnected through such a paradoxical and transferable relation as enabling and constraining, which conjointly constructs the business ecosystem. The emergent framework verifies the explanatory power of Chinese philosophical view of “Five Phases” in current business practices innovation and enterpren eurship. Moreover, by introducing the relational duality of enabling/ed and constraining/ed into the research on multiple relations between producers and customers.

The Theoretical Contribution of Indigenous Management Research: Interpretation on Several Chinese Works
HAN Wei,ZEN Xianju
There are many discussions on ‘what is theory’ and ‘what is theoretical contribution’ in western management community, but we are still lost. From a spectrum-form understanding on the theory and the author’s own framework of theory-building, this study illustrates how a few Chinese scholars made the theoretical contribution of indigenous management research by their works which separately showed their sense of problem, thick description, context interpretation, constructs and mechanism building. The author argues Chinese scholars can offer more influential indigenous theory that helps us know deeper on ourselves only if we live in our lifeworld rather than rely much on the western concepts and literature.

Research on the Association between the Integrative Configuration of Upstream Cross-Border M&A and Performance
HUANG Manli,ZHANG Ming,PI Shenglei,LU Shixia
This study incorporates the frontier understanding of relativeness concept that contains resource similarity and resource complementary into the exploration of the interactive affecting mechanism for integration performance of Chinese firms’ upstream merger and acquistion (M&A). By adopting Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), we examined how four conditions which include resource similarity, resource complementary, strategic dependency of integration and organizational autonomy of integration affect the integration performance. The results demonstrate that, when we use “light-touch” integration, which was advanced as one of the most important Chinese firms’ upstream M&A integration by recent literature, to be the proxy of high organizational autonomy in integration, high resource complementary “light-touch” mode and non-resource similarity with non-strategic dependency “light-touch” mode result in higher integration performance. These findings clarified the contextual boundary of the effect of “light-touch” integration for Chinese firms’ upstream M&A integration performance, and revealed the necessary conditions for how “light-touch” integration creates higher merger performance in the perspective of relativeness, thus this study provides new insights for the research of cross-border M&A on Chinese firms.

The Influence of Shareholder Networks on Private Benefits Seeking Behaviors of Controlling Shareholder
MA Lianfu,DU Bo
Different from the perspective of ownership structure, this study, based on network structure perspective, examines inhibitory effects of non-controlling shareholders’ network positions toward self-interested behaviors of controlling shareholders. Our results show that the non-controlling shareholders’ network positions have positive inhibitory effect on self-interested behaviors of controlling shareholders. As an important governance mechanism, institutional investor ownership has positive adjusting influence to above-mentioned causality. Through further researches, we find that inhibitory effect of non-controlling shareholders’ network position is significant to non-state-owned controlling shareholders’ self-interested behaviors, but it is not significant to state-owned controlling shareholders’ self-interested behaviors. Compared with poor legal environments, non-controlling shareholders’ network position can inhibit self-interested behaviors of controlling shareholders effectively in perfect legal environments.

Influencing Mechanism of Superordinate’s Performance Appraisal Politics on Subordinates’Creative Behavior: Based on Social Comparison and Social Exchange Perspectives
ZHAO Shusong,ZHANG Yijie
Based on social comparison theory and social exchange theory, this study constructs two mechanisms which mediate the effect of superordinates’ performance appraisal politics on subordinates’ creative behavior, and discusses complementary relationship and alternative relationship between two different mechanisms. By analyzing 377 samples, the results show that: (1) In social comparison mechanism, perceived interactional justice mediates the effect of superordinates’ performance appraisal politics on subordinates’ creative behavior, while in social exchange mechanism, perceived organizational support mediates this effect; (2) The relationship between social comparison mechanism and social exchange mechanism is complementary. Perceived interactional justice and perceived organizational support sequentially mediate the effect of superordinates’ performance appraisal politics on subordinates’ creative behavior, which shows that the effect of superordinates’ performance appraisal politics on subordinates’ creative behavior is realized by social comparison process stimulating social exchange process.

An Empirical Study on the Mechanism of Cyberloafing:Based on the Stressor-Emotion Model
NIE Ting,QIU Tengfeng
Based on the stressor-emotion model, we use PLS statistical analysis with a sample of 323 employees in China and explore the cognition mechanism of organizational justice, role pressure and Cyberloafing of employees. The study finds that organizational justice and role stress influence Cyberloafing employees in the workplace through the mediating effect of emotional exhaustion. We also confirm the moderating effect of positive followership characteristics on relations between role stress and Cyberloafing of employees.

The Impact of Leader-Member Exchange on Industrial Workers’ Engagement
SHI Dan,TAO Yiyi,ZHANG Junwei,CHEN Lei
Using self-categorization theory and multilevel data from 444 industrial workers in 64 teams, the present study examines the relationship between leader-member exchange, perceived insider status and industrial workers’ engagement. The moderating effect of household register on the effectiveness of leader-member exchange is analyzed, and on the basis, the joint moderation effects of household register and team chaxu atmosphere are probed. The results indicate that: (1) Perceived insider status mediates leader-member exchange and industrial workers’ engagement relationship. (2) Compared with urban workers, the positive relationship between leader-member exchange and engagement is weaker for migrant workers through disrupting perceived insider status. (3)Team chaxu atmosphere interacted with household register and leader-member exchange affect industrial workers’ engagement through disrupting perceived insider status.

Organization Distance, Value Co-Creation, and Industry-University-Research Collaborative Innovation Performance
WANG Liping,LUAN Huiming
From the perspective of organizational differences and integrates the theory of resource dependence, this study introduces value co-creation as mediating variable and relationship embedding as a moderator variable, to build a theoretical model about the relationship between organization distance and industry-university-research collaborative innovation performance, and uses related analysis and regression analysis methods to conduct an empirical research. The results show that: Organization distance of multiple entities has a negative impact on the industry-university-research collaborative innovation performance; Value co-creation plays a partial mediating role in the impact of organization distance on industry-university-research collaborative innovation performance; Relationship embedding has a significant moderating effect on the relationship between organization distance and value co-creation.

Manufacturer’s Green Production Decision under Environmental Regulation and the Influence of Technology Learning Factors
LI Yanan,LIN Jun,QIAN Yanjun
This paper introduces the theory of technology learning and establishes a two-stage game model to explore the impact of corporate green production decisions and technological learning factors on government decision-making under environmental regulation. The analytical results show that whether or not to consider technological learning factor will lead to differences in corporate decision-making under government environmental regulation, which in turn leads to differences in overall green production levels and government environmental regulation policies. Specifically, a reasonable level of government environmental regulation can effectively improve the overall level of green production. However, without considering the impact of technological learning factors, the positive effect of current green production on late-stage profits is neglected, resulting in the manufacturer’s short-sighted decision-making and insufficient green production. When considering the influence of technological learning factor, the manufacturer prefers to maximize long-term profits by increasing green production inputs.

Endogenous Selection of Enterprise Waste Treatment Model under EPR System
WANG Xingtang,LI Jie
This study introduces the quality of the product heterogeneity game model, vertical market analysis system of producer responsibility (EPR), when facing the end product of waste supply chain downstream enterprises entrust a third party independent processing and processing when the choice, the government how to develop the optimal recycling schemes and the downstream enterprises endogenous choice problem of processing mode. It is found that the optimal proportion of government recovery is negatively correlated with the product quality heterogeneity between enterprises and the marginal pollution damage. On the issue of endogenous selection of enterprise treatment mode, enterprises with high product quality choose to handle independently while those with low product quality choose to entrust third-party enterprises to handle. When the marginal damage of pollutants is relatively low, the social welfare level is the highest under the endogenous choice of enterprise treatment mode; when the marginal damage of pollutants is relatively high, both enterprises choose to independently handle it, which will bring higher social welfare level.

Consumer’s Participation Intention of Recycling Idle Items: From the Perspective of Self-Construal
LI Baoku,GUO Tingting,WU Zhengxiang
From the perspective of self-construal, this study investigates the mechanism of message framing and recycling type on consumer’s intention to participate in idle items recycling. The empirical findings indicate that the message framing and self-construal interactively affect the persuasive effect of advertising, and the information processing fluency mediates such interactive effect. Furthermore, making money through idle items has a positive effect on independent self-construal consumer’s recycling intention, and the effect remained significant within the gain-framework. Giving idle items away or making money through the idle items shows no significant difference in influencing interdependent self-construal consumer’s recycling intention but is influenced by framing effect. The effect of giving idle items away on interdependent self-construal consumer’s recycling intention is improved under the condition of loss-framework.

The Study of Number of Investors and Crowdfunding Type in Product Crowdfunding
BI Gongbing,GENG Botao,YANG Yunshen,LIANG Liang
In order to improve the success rate and expected profits of crowdfunding projects, this study builds a two-period model of investment, studies the common single-stage crowdfunding and the presale two-stage crowdfunding, and discusses the impacts of these two crowdfunding forms on projects as well as how to design the optimal strategy. The research shows that, when the costs are small, the creator can always keep the expected raised funds unchanged by adjusting the number of investors and the price; otherwise, the creator has to decrease the price by increasing the number of investors as much as possible. Moreover, compared to the common single-stage crowdfunding, the community benefit in the presale two-stage crowdfunding will produce a positive effect. Therefore, the creator should choose the presale two-stage crowdfunding when the cost is small and the community benefit is strong; otherwise, the creator should choose the common single-stage crowdfunding.

A Study on Corporate Social Responsibility and Product Quality in Supply Chains under Different Channel Power Structures
FAN Jianchang,IANG Xuzhuo,NI Debing
To address the question of why firms in supply chains implement the social responsibility before the production and operation, a supply chain game model where a manufacturer and a retailer implement the corporate social responsibility cooperatively is built to investigate the impacts of the corporate social responsibility on the firms’ product quality and profitability under different channel power structures, and then study the optimal social responsibility decision making. The results show that: implementing corporate social responsibility can contribute to improve the product quality level and the product demand, but only an appropriate level of the social responsibility can lead to a higher profitability in supply chains; An increase in social responsibility efficiency leads to a higher corporate social responsibility degree, product quality level, product demand, and profitability for supply chain members; Gaining more channel power contributes more to each supply chain member, but the equal power between supply chain members would lead to the highest degree of the corporate social responsibility.

Consumer Cross-Channel Behavior and Channel Collaboration in Multi-Channel Supply Chain
WANG Min,HANG Xumei
In multi-channel supply chain, it is important for the retailer to collaborate with the manufacturer’s electronic direct channel under the influence of consumer cross-channel behavior. This study interprets the relationship of consumer cross-channel behavior, channel collaboration, and collaboration performance, and investigates the moderate role of channel collaboration complexity from the perspective of the traditional retailer. The empirical results of the questionnaire survey from 221 traditional retailers show that consumer cross-channel behavior has a significant positive effect on collaboration performance. It also verifies the three dimensions of channel collaboration, namely, specific investment, information sharing, and joint action have positive mediating effects between consumer cross-channel behavior and collaboration performance. Finally, channel collaboration complexity negatively moderates the effect of special investment on collaboration performance, and positively moderates the effect of information sharing on collaboration performance, but does not moderate the joint action’s effect.

Research on Bullwhip Effect Based on Demand Forecast with Kalman Filter
CHEN Jiali,GUO Chunxiang
The distortion of demand information is the root of the bullwhip effect, and the key to improving the bullwhip effect is to select appropriate demand prediction technology. Kalman Filter is often used for the prediction of non-stationary demand processes because of its dynamic updating and no need to store a lot of historical data. Thus, the demand forecast model was obtained based on the Kalman Filter equation, and the bullwhip effect was measured at different lead time. Then the influence of the lead time and model parameters on the bullwhip effect was studied. The results showed that the longer the lead time, the stronger the bullwhip effect; In most cases, the bullwhip effect can be avoided by Kalman Filter demand forecast when lead time was 2; When the lead time was greater than 2, the bullwhip effect with no promotion activity was less than that with some promotion activities for products in the same life cycle state, but the degree of promotion had no significant effect on the bullwhip effect.

A Literature Review of Employee Grievance and Prospects Based on SOR Theory Framework
XIE Yuhua,LI Luyao,QIN Yazhou,DUAN Huimin
Employee grievance, viewed as a safety valve for dealing with labor disputes and preventing labor conflicts within enterprises, is an important role in building harmonious labor relations. However, the research on employee grievance in China has not been paid enough attention. It is necessary to sort out the abundant research on employee grievance with the development of labor relations adjustment mechanism in the West, so as to provide inspiration for Chinese theory and practice. Based on the review of the literature, this paper analyses the evolution process and measurement of employee grievance, then combines SOR theory with the antecedents, internal mechanisms and consequences of employee grievance to put forward an integrated model of employee grievance process, which provides the future research direction for employee grievance management theory in China.
