Control Everything or Nothing? To Cope with the Dilemma of Efficiency versus Flexibility——The Adaptive Management Model of SOGAL Top Management Team
XIAO JinghuaLI Wentao
Adopting a longitudinal single case study, we have derived three typical adaptive management models from the top management team (TMT) of SOGAL Furniture Co. Ltd., by investigating the distinguished management patterns they formed at each stage to adapt to the environmental change. The main conclusions are as follows: (a)SOGAL has gone through three stages in its whole history, namely, entrepreneurial survival, rapid growth and adjusting development. Due to the different internal and external environments at each stage, driven by the interaction between the TMT and IT, three typical adaptive management models have emerged as “Human-oriented with IT-assisted Model”, “Human-IT Each Performing Duties Model” and “Human-IT Integrated Model”, respectively. (b)The TMT improved the flexibility of general rules and strengthened the standardization of personalized rules simultaneously, by leveraging the nature that information technology can both solidify and adjust management rules, so as to achieve an effective balance between efficiency and flexibility. (c)Still taking advantage of the above nature of information technology, the TMT connected “Dao” and “Law” through the formulation of rules, and connected “Law” and “Skill” through the implementation of rules. Based on the combination of Chinese “Dao and Skill” and western “Law”, the thought of adaptive management can be effectively enacted. As a result, an adaptive management model of “control without death, release without chaos” has been formed.

Contextual Personality: A Micro-Theory on Personality in Chinese Context from the Historical Perspective
ZENG Xianju,LIN Kaibin,HAN Wei
In Chinese traditional society, the human’s personality was deeply involved in the context that is entangled with multiple institutional logics. The author comes up with the contextual personality (CP) as a trigger, then elucidates the context’s features from triple perspectives, power-centered, Confucius thoughts, and Chaxu geju, the author also interprets the internal connections of CP and the distinctive context, next, the author explains how the agent of CP displays various action logics in social world. The author argues CP is a gradual constructed and continuous evolving psychological schema which is dominated by power, sided with value trade-off and living purpose. The context of multiple institutional logics could lead the agent to adopt the strategies of legal harmfulness, interpretation on regulated value, and partiality of source allocation, against the common sense, which actually coproduce the huge space and the grey zone for one to use discretionary power. Within it, the agent on one side owns the full perception of institutionalized survival, institutional arbitrage and Value trade-off that looks like an isostructural item of CP, another side in practice, the agent follows the logic of power-centered, the logic of morality-centered, and the hybrid logics of favor(Qing)- reasonableness(Li) -law which coexist and dynamically evolve. As a result, it has a subtle and profound impact on the daily life of Chinese people and the changes in traditional society. The value persistence and context adaptation strategies provide different imaginary spaces and legitimacy basis for historical changes under specific constraints.

Research on Replication of Routines in Organizations Based on Friend-Businesspeople Role Theory
CHEN Yanliang,GAO Chuang
n view of the tension between organizational routines and new situation in the process of replication, it is pointed out that role loss is one of the key reasons leading to the replication dilemma. Distinguishing between complete replication of organizational routines based on template and drifting replication based on principle, this study analyzes double expectations of situational dependency from routine replication and role awakening. Further, 3×3 matching model of roles, situations and routine replication is built based on friend-businesspeople role theory. It is found that in the contract situation, the role of “businessman” is awakened and organizational routines accomplish complete replication in the form of template; in the non-contract situation, the role of “friend” is awakened and organizational routines accomplish drifting replication in the form of principle; in the semi-contract situation, the role of “business-friend” is awakened and organizational routines accomplish drifting replication in the form of new principle; when the situation and role can’t match, member’s role cannot be awakened, role stress comes up, and then replication of organizational routines are in a dilemma.

The Process of Value Co-creation Behavior about Online Live Shopping in E-commerce Platform Based on the Taobao Live Shopping
PEI Xueliang,DENG Huimei
This study explores new theoretical and practical problems that online live shopping focuses on three elements of “human-commodity-context” within an online real-time situation. Thus, this paper takes Taobao as the research object, uses the value co-creation theory to establish a research framework to explore the process of value co-creation behavior of online live shopping in e-commerce platform. Structural equation model was used to test and verify the hypothesis, and the results show that: ① e-commerce platform needs to actively put forward value proposition, and carefully treat the degree of profits in value proposition; ② value co-creation behavior needs to focus on product interaction and media interaction, and balance the degree of interpersonal interaction; ③ value proposition can significantly promote product interaction and interpersonal interaction, but has no effect on media interaction.

Research on the Self-Interested Risk of Unethical Pro-organizational Behavior and Its Mechanisms
ZHANG Yongjun,ZHAO Jun,LIU Zhiqiang
The “pro-organization” feature of Unethical Pro-organizational Behavior (UPB) is very deceptive, leading us to pay insufficient attention to its potential self-interested risk. Based on moral license theory and social cognition theory, this study builds a theoretical model and explores the influence of UPB on self-interested unethical behaviors. By a two-wave field data of 257 employees, we find individual UPB has a positive effect on his/her self-interested unethical behaviors, psychological entitlement and moral justification have a mediating effect respectively. Locus of control (LOC) has a different moderating effect on the relationship between UPB and psychological entitlement and moral justification, that is, UPB has more positive effect on internal LOC individual psychological entitlement while it has more positive effect on external LOC individual moral disengagement. For external LOC individuals, UPB has more indirect effect on self-interested unethical behaviors via moral disengagement.

Research on the Forced Compliance Mechanism of Unethical Pro-Organizational Behavior “Top-down” Transmission
SUN Xu,FENG Jingming,ZHANG Haixia,LI Wenxiu
From the perspective of self-protection theory, using 256 pairs of leader-subordinate paired data collected by multi-time and multi-source research design, this study explored the forced compliance mechanism and boundary conditions of the “top-down” transmission of unethical pro-organizational behaviors(UPB) from leaders to subordinates. The results showed that: ① there was a significantly positive correlation between subordinate’s UPB and Leader’s UPB, that is, subordinates followed leaders to show similar UPB in organization. ② Controlling social learning and social identity mechanism, self-protection motivation partially mediated the influence of leaders’ UPB on subordinate’s UPB. ③ Authoritarian leadership in Chinese enterprises played a moderating role in the process of “top-down” contagion of UPB. The higher the level of authoritative leadership, the stronger the influence of leaders’ UPB on subordinate’s UPB by the way of self-protection motivation.

A Configurational Approach to Employees’ Intrapreneurship Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior
ZHU Yali,GUO Changwei
This study conducts a configuration analysis on the driving mechanism of employees’ intrapreneurship based on the theory of planned behavior and the GEM data. The results show that there are three configurations that may lead to employees’intrapreneurship, with each configuration containing a meaningful combination of different conditions, which means that employees’ intrapreneurship has characteristics of multiple conjunctural causation and equifinality. In addition, entrepreneurial self-efficacy and risk taking exist in all three configurations and are the most important factors driving employees to engage in intrapreneurship. Under certain conditions, achievement orientation and media publicity substitute each other, and either of them can promote employee intrapreneurship.

Research on the Relationship between Human Capital Internal Flow and Firm Innovation from the Perspective of Dynamic Matching
PENG Qiuping,ZHOU Huaikang,GE Chunmian,LIU Shanshi
Drawing upon the dynamic matching perspective, this study explores the influence and mechanism of human capital internal flow on firm innovation. Based on the internet online resume information data of list companies in China from 2000~2016, the resultsof empirical research show that there is an inverse U-shaped relationship between human capital internal flow and firm innovation, and when the proportion of internal movers reaches 9.6%, the internal flow of human capital has the greatest impact on firm innovation. Moreover, the effect of human capital internal flow on firm innovation is mainly in terms of employees in their tenure from 2 years to 4 years. The boundary condition test results show that the firm size and technology-intensive level will enhance the effect of human capital internal flow on firm innovation.

A Study on the Relationship between Family Control, Socialemotional Wealth and Corporate Charitable Donation
ZHU Lina,GAO Hao
Based on the theory of social emotional wealth and organizational identity, this study discusses the effect of family control on corporate charitable donation.Based on the data of Chinese listed companies from 2007 to 2019, the results show that family firms are more actively involved in charitable donation. When the enterprise is named after the family, the influence of family control on charitable donation will be strengthened. And the visibility of the enterprise plays a significant secondary regulatory role, specifically, the more enterprises invested in advertising activities, the more charitable donations will be made by the enterprises named after the family.

A Research on the Motivating Mechanism of Environmentally-Specific Transformational Leadership on Employees’ Green Creativity
TIAN Hong,IAN Jiahui
This study constructs a research on the mechanism and boundary conditions of environmentally-specific transformational leaders on employees’green creativity based on the transformational leadership theory and similarity-attraction theory. And a multiple regression analysis is also conducted to test the mediating and moderating effects. The results show that environmentally-specific transformational leadership has a significantly positive effect on employees’ green creativity, and value congruence mediates the relationship between them. In addition, the above mediating effect is moderated by the creative self-efficacy of employees, that is, the higher the creative self-efficacy of employees, the stronger the role of environmentally-specific transformational leaders in influencing employees’ green creativity through value congruence.

Choice of New Product Technology Innovation Models in Vertical Supply Chain
ZHANG Juan,WANG Ziyue,YU Feifei
For a supply chain consisting of a supplier with independent innovation ability and a manufacturer, this study discusses the R&D investment game between manufacturers and suppliers under two technology innovation models, gives the choice of the technological innovation mode when the supplier produces new products, and analyzes the role of independent innovation capabilities of suppliers in the game. Research shows that: ①When traditional product supply chains are very inefficient, supplierschoose to develop new products independently. At this time, the supplier’s R&D of new products stimulates manufacturers to increase investment in R&D through the role of “advertising signals”, thereby increasing sales of traditional products and parts. ②When the market acceptance of new products is very high, suppliers always choose to cooperate with manufacturers to develop new products, and can achieve a win-win situation under a certain profit distribution.③Suppliers’ independent R&D capabilities can always help them gain more benefits in the game with manufacturers.

Strategy Selection and Mode Evolution of Retailer for Embedding Retailing Technologies
HU Fengying,ZHOU Zhenglong2
We construct a theoretical model to study the strategic mode choice of the retailer for embedding retailing technologies, and discuss the impact of the retailer’s embedded strategy and different power structures on decision outcomes. The results show that the leader in the supply chain has an advantage in obtaining the marginal profit, thus the retailer should entrust the technology provider to develop professional technologies and become the channel leader. After comparing the different modes, the embedded strategy that the retailer entrusts the technology provider to develop the technologies and the technology provider gives the technology marketing support is optimal. When compared the commissioned development mode with the independent development mode, the retailer should prefer the independent development mode and choose to develop the technologies which more interact with customers.

A Review and Future Research Agenda of Board Ambidextrous Governance’s Effectiveness
FANG Zheng,XU Xiangyi,LI Tingting
Through reviewing the prior research on the governance effects of board formal and informal hierarchy, this study offers a comprehensive research framework of board ambidextrous governance, which includes both formal and informal hierarchy. The results show ①The informal hierarchy of board is stemmed from the director’s catering to the shareholder’s power, rather than the social identification among directors; ② The formal hierarchy demonstrates the entire shareholders’ interests, while the informal hierarchy represents the specific shareholder’s interests. This gives rise to the director’s reputation concern between the entire shareholders and specific shareholder, and leads the director to align the interest with specific shareholders who nominate him to be a director. Therefore, the effectiveness of the dual governance of the board of directors is embodied in the promotion of directors to select the reputation evaluation of all shareholders, namely director’s interest-neutrality. ③Because of the ownership concentration, and intra-board power distribution, board ambidextrous governance should seek to form the interest-neutral board structure, and realize the ultimate separation of formal and informal hierarchy, while the reform of mixed-ownership is the proper solution in China.
