Abstract  Drawing upon the dynamic matching perspective, this study explores the influence and mechanism of human capital internal flow on firm innovation. Based on the internet online resume information data of list companies in China from 2000~2016, the resultsof empirical research show that there is an inverse U-shaped relationship between human capital internal flow and firm innovation, and when the proportion of internal movers reaches 9.6%, the internal flow of human capital has the greatest impact on firm innovation. Moreover, the effect of human capital internal flow on firm innovation is mainly in terms of employees in their tenure from 2 years to 4 years. The boundary condition test results show that the firm size and technology-intensive level will enhance the effect of human capital internal flow on firm innovation.
