Abstract:Based on a systemic review of 721 researches on barriers to the processes of organizational learning, this study extended the analysis level from internals (individual, group and organizational) to external as social environment, developed a theoretical model to describe and explain impediments to organizational learning dynamic processes, and analyzed the impact of barriers on 4I (Intuiting/Interpreting/Integrating/Institutionalizing) learning sub-processes, the relationship between the organizational learning barriers, as well as combinations of barriers and their impacts on organizational learning capabilities respectively. Finally, this study proposed some propositions to advance empirical studies in the future.
