Research on the Shared Roles and Shared Timings of Shared Leadership in the Context of Environmental Uncertainty Based on Case Study
MI Yaping,LIANG Liang,TIAN Guyang,ZHANG Xue,TIAN Yezhuang
Based on the role theory, this study took Wanda Changbai Mountain Tourism Resort as the research object and used the research method of grounded theory to explore the shared roles and shared timings of shared leadership in the context of environmental uncertainty. The study reveals that there are essential differences in the shared roles of shared leadership in the context of environment uncertainty and environment certainty. These differences arise from the diverse sources of environmental uncertainty and the dynamic, complex, and multifaceted nature of environmental uncertainty itself. Specifically, the shared roles of shared leadership in the context of environmental uncertainty are complex. With the goal of realizing the problematization mechanism, group employees shared eight different leadership roles with different functions during the process of implementing shared leadership in the context of environmental uncertainty. Furthermore, group employees dynamically shared these eight roles through a combination of simultaneous and rotated sharing timings.

Research on the Characteristic Rhythm of Strategic Change of Manufacturing Enterprises Under the Background of Catching-up
XU Yusen,JIA Junbo
The specific business development history of two enterprises, Midea and Goldwind Science & Technology, is selected as typical cases for longitudinal analysis ( microwave oven manufacturing and large-scale wind turbine manufacturing respectively). The strategic “adjustment dilemma” faced by catching-up enterprises is focused on from the perspective of adjustment rhythm. The findings are as follows: ①The strategic orientation and knowledge system can be appropriately changed ahead of time, but the overall rhythm should be stable rather than hasty, so as to avoid such rhythmic errors as “grabbing the beat” or the opposite “dragging the beat”;②In the process of strategic change, the catching-up enterprises should pay attention to the “concerto” relationship of strategic orientation, knowledge system and network relationship;③The strategic orientation of catching-up enterprises generally experiences a gradual shift from the initial market-oriented survival logic to the self-sustaining and self-improving logic with a balance of both technology and market orientation, and the knowledge system and network relationship also display a corresponding “sequential” progressive evolution pattern.

HU Cheng,PAN Wei,LEI Rong,PAN Wulin,WEN Li,HUANG Ge,DAI Wanqiang
To optimize the organization and implementation process of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Excellent Young Scientist (EYS) Scheme (HK & Macau), based on its application situation in 2019~2020, we investigated and analyzed researchers’ participation rate, funding management and suggestions, and had an in-depth understanding of researchers’ real demands. By conducting a questionnaire survey on 275 scholars from eight supporting institutions in Hong Kong and Macao, we found that the scheme gained a high degree of support and recognition among researchers in Hong Kong and Macao. They had high willingness to participate and were satisfied with the work and contribution of the NSFC in the process of organizing and implementing. According to the survey results, most researchers suggested further optimizing the fund application process and improving the expert evaluation criteria.

Effects of IT Competency on Organizational Resilience
XIE Luqun,QIAN Jingshu,WANG Qian
Using a two-wave survey data of 130 growing firms in China, this study empirically tests the effect of IT competency on organizational resilience and the moderating effect of different internal and external factors. The results show that IT competency is positively and significantly related to organizational resilience. Further evidence shows that when competitor turbulence or demand uncertainty is high, the positive effect of IT competency on resilience will be enhanced. Moreover, when the firm size is larger, the positive effect of IT competency on resilience will be stronger.

The Influencing Mechanism of Top Management Team Heterogeneity on Radical Innovation
ZHAO Jun,WANG Huiyu,LIU Zhiqiang,WANG Yan
By examining a sample of Chinese A-share listed manufacturing companies, this study explores the link between top management team (TMT) heterogeneity and radical innovation based on Upper Echelons Theory, and analyzes the moderating effects of TMT pay disparity (i.e., horizontal pay disparity and vertical pay disparity) combining with the view of social comparison and tournament. The results indicate that: Both functional heterogeneity and international heterogeneity positively influence radical innovation; Horizontal pay disparity negatively moderates the impact of international heterogeneity on radical innovation, that is, when horizontal pay disparity is at a high level, the positive impact of international heterogeneity on radical innovation will be weakened; Vertical pay disparity positively moderates the impact of functional heterogeneity on radical innovation, that is, when vertical pay disparity is high, the positive impact of functional heterogeneity on radical innovation will be enhanced.

The Influence Mechanism of Informal Mentoring Supply-Demand Fitting on Leadership Emergence
ZHANG Qiuping,LYU Hongjiang
According to the fitting relationship between supply and demand of informal mentoring, this study divides the mentors into two types: “unsolicited mentor” and “solicited mentor”. Through the empirical analysis of 399 employees from 43 innovation teams in 24 companies, we analyze their different impacts on the leadership emergence based on the person-team fit theory. The results show that the degree of fitting and misfitting between the mentor’s informal mentoring supply and demand respectively has a positive and negative effect on the leadership emergence; the team member exchange relationship is the mediating mechanism that the degree of fitting and misfitting between mentor’s informal mentoring supply and demand affects the leadership emergence; emotional intelligence positively moderates the role of the fitting and misfitting between mentor’s informal mentoring supply and demand on leadership emergence through team member exchange relationship.

Research on the Impact Mechanism of Gig Workers’ Self-Leadership on Emotional Labor from the Perspective of Self-Determination Theory
MAO Mengyu,ZHANG Lanxia,LI Jiamin
Based on the self-determination theory, this study analyzes the questionnaire data collected from 422 gig workers at two time points and explores the mechanism of self-leadership on emotional labor strategies. The results show that gig worker self-leadership negatively impacts surface acting and positively impacts deep acting through psychological needs satisfaction, respectively. The perceptions of algorithmic transparency positively moderates the relationship between self-leadership and psychological needs satisfaction, and positively moderates the mediating roles of psychological needs satisfaction between self-leadership and the two emotional labor strategies.

A Research on the Effect and Mechanism of Capital Market Pricing Efficiency on Corporate R&D
HUANG Zhihong,YANG Ruoming,WANG Caiping,LI Shanmin
Using a sample of Chinese A-share listed firms from 2008~2019, this study investigates the impact of capital market pricing efficiency on firms’ innovation inputs and the mechanism of action. It is found that for each standard deviation increase in capital market pricing efficiency, firms’ innovation investment intensity increases by 8%. Capital market pricing efficiency enhances firms’ innovation investment through three mechanisms: helping firms to better identify investment opportunities, improving corporate governance and reducing financing constraints, specifically the above relationship is more pronounced among firms with higher investment opportunities, poorer corporate governance and higher financing constraints. Further research also finds that the promotion effect of capital market pricing efficiency on firms’ innovation activities is more pronounced in private firms, industries with a higher share of foreign capital, and regions with lower GDP growth pressure, suggesting that the capital market resource allocation function is more effective in environments with higher levels of marketization.

Research on the Impact of Optimal Capital Structure Deviation on Enterprise Innovation
REN Haofeng,SONG Yuchen,ZHANG Yanyan
This paper takes Chinese A-share listed manufacturing companies from 2008 to 2019 as the research object to explore the impact of deviation of optimal capital structure on innovation level. The results show that optimal capital structure deviation has a significant restraining effect on the quantity and quality of innovation output for both under-indebted and over-indebted firms. Furthermore, it is found that optimal capital structure deviation of over-indebted firms restricts innovation performance by shortening the loan term structure, and this effect is more significant in state-owned enterprises, over-confident firms, highly competitive industries and high-tech enterprises.

An Experience Sampling Study of the Effect of Stressors and Recovery at Weekends on Entrepreneurial Well-Being
JIA Yingya,ZHOU Yanqi,YU Xiaoyu
Drawing upon the conservation of resources theory, this study explores the role of recovery activities at weekends that may help entrepreneurs better cope with the negative impact of challenge/hindrance stressors on well-being. The study analyzes data from 115 entrepreneurs for 5 consecutive weeks through the experience sampling methodology (ESM)and finds that:①entrepreneurial well-being in the following week shows negative relationship with hindrance stressors in the week before but no positive relationship with challenging stressors.②Relaxation activities at weekends significantly strengthen the positive relationship between challenging stressors and entrepreneurial well-being.③Learning activities at weekends notably mitigate the negative relationship between hindrance stressors and entrepreneurial well-being.

Research on the Pricing Strategy of Sharing Economy Platform Considering User Participation in Value Creation
ZHANG Xiaojing,ZHANG Yulin
This study constructs a game model to explore the value creation and pricing strategies of a unilateral sharing platform considering the spillover effect of value creation. The results show that it is profitable to adopt value co-creation strategies when intragroup network externality is below a certain threshold and the cost of value creation is low but the benefits are high. On the other hand, when the cost of value creation is high and the benefits are higher than a certain threshold, user-independent value creation is more beneficial for the platform. Otherwise, the strategy without value creation is better. Furthermore, for a medium intragroup network externality, the strategy without value creation is more profitable only if the cost of value creation is high but the revenue is low. Otherwise, the sharing platform should adopt the strategy of user-independent value creation. In addition, when the intragroup network externality is high, the sharing platform should always adopt the strategy without value creation.

Pricing Strategies and Incentive Compensation Mechanism for Brands Based on Unidirectional and Bidirectional Free-Riding of Services
ZHOU Jianheng,WU Bo
Taking into account the consumer service free-riding behavior and the fact that retailer effort is not easily observed, this study constructs an incentive model with visible (invisible) retailer effort information in different environments. The results show that, in the case of invisible effort, the brand can motivate the retailer through a combination of rewards and penalties. Furthermore, the retailer’s potential to receive compensation rewards and service upgrades is non-monotonic. Interestingly, if the bidirectional free-riding factor satisfies certain conditions, the brand makes more profits when the effort information is invisible. The bidirectional free-riding scenario also leads the brand to reduce the information rent paid to the retailer due to the cost free-riding effect. In addition, the brand should create a bidirectional free-riding market environment only when the channel interaction coupling effect is strong and the asymmetric information effect is weak.

Research on the Audit Strategies of the Supplier Social Responsibility from the Perspective of Tripartite Game
ZHAO Lianxia,LIU Jia,ZHANG Xiaofeng,ZHOU Wenyong
This study constructs three game models of the government-only audit, the government-focal firm independent audit, and the joint audit to explore the conditions under which the focal firm participates in the audit and the selection of the optimal audit mechanism when it participates in the audit. The results show that, firstly, when the government faces a high potential loss, the focal firm will not participate in the audit. When the government faces a low potential loss, the focal firm will participate in the independent audit if the supplier has a low compliance willingness, otherwise, it will participate in the joint audit. Secondly, compared to the government-only audit, the focal firm’s participation in the joint audit will improve the supplier’s compliance level, while in the independent audit, it will improve the compliance level only when the government faces a low potential loss. That is, the participation of the focal firm in the audit does not always improve the compliance level of the supplier. Furthermore, the impact of important parameters on the optimal strategies is also investigated through numerical experiments.

Research on the Impact of Inquiry Letter Supervision on Stock Price Information Content
LUO Qi,WANG Xianze,WANG Jingdong,SU Rong
Based on the perspective of corporate information transparency, this study takes the A-share listed companies in 2015~2020 as a sample and examines the impact of inquiry letter supervision on stock price information content from the perspective of stock price synchronicity. The results show that inquiry letter supervision can improve stock price information content to promote the information efficiency of capital market, and corporate information transparency plays a mediating role between inquiry letter supervision and stock price information content. Further research shows that inquiry letter supervision plays a greater role in improving stock price information content for companies with low institutional ownership, private companies, and companies with low analyst attention. Different types of inquiry letters can effectively improve stock price information content, and both the number of questions in the letter and the response time of the letter can influence the relationship between inquiry letter supervision and stock price information content.

Research on the Impact of Margin Trading System on Firm Diversification
ZHANG Ziyao,QIN Jiaqi,XIE Yanxiang,YANG Yuchen1,
Using the data of non-financial listing firms from 2007 to 2019, this study empirically tests the impact of the margin trading system on the firm diversification. This study finds that the margin trading system can inhibit the firm diversification, especially non-related diversification. The mechanism analysis shows that margin trading system can play a role in external governance and financing by reducing agency costs, alleviating executives’ overconfidence and financing constraints. Heterogeneity analysis shows that for the firms with less redundant resources and in the higher competition environment, the margin trading system can inhibit the diversification more significantly; both the financing and the securities lending mechanism inhibit the diversification. The economic consequence test finds margin trading system positively regulates the relationship between firms’ diversification and their values.
