Data Driven Ability, Organizational Structure and Corporate Strategic Performance——Based on A Online Ride-Hailing Company’ s Longitudinal Case Study
XIE Maohua,LIU Tiexin,SHI Nuo,WANG Qian
Using case study method on A online ride-hailing company and based on perspective of organizational structure, this study explores the process and mechanism of data driven ability to enhance strategic performance. The results show that the data driven ability is driven by a dynamic cycle power which consists of data acquisition, data combination analysis and data utilization. And data driven capability deepens from weak to strong depending on time and space dimensions. Thus, the strategic performance of enterprises should be improved by matching the appropriate organizational structure. When the data driven ability is weak, the organizational structure should be based on the hierarchical system, which is beneficial to the original construction and accumulation for enterprises’ strategic performance. When the data driven ability is strong, the grid system is more conducive to improve enterprises’ strategic performance. Finally, the theoretical framework for the impact path of data driven ability on corporate strategic performance is constructed.

Research on Configuration of Integration of Equipment Manufacturing Industry and Modern Service Industry Based on TOE Framework
PENG Yongtao,HOU Yanchao,LUO Jianqiang,LI Yaya
Based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE), this study builds the equipment manufacturing industry and modern service industry convergence process driven model, and uses the fuzzy qualitative comparison analysis (fsQCA) method to explore the causality relationship of configuration of integration between equipment manufacturing industry and modern service industry in 30 provinces and cities in mainland China. On this basis, the complementary substitution relationship between configuration conditions is further explored. The results show that there are four paths with high integration level: balanced development path, service-oriented path, manufacturing-oriented path and government-driven path. The balanced development path plays the most significant role in the integration process. Technological innovation and diffusion, government policies and institutions are the key factors to achieve integration. Digital technology and industrial competition intensity, the level of service economy, government policy and system of various factors have complementary or substitute relations.

Research on the Impact of the Internationalization Rhythm on Firm Performance
ZHANG Zhen’gang,HU Antao, ZHANG Junqiu
From the dynamic perspective with time dimension, the research on the relationship between the internationalization rhythm and firm performance is relatively deficient. Combining absorptive capacity theory and the institution-based view, this study establishes a contingency model of the relationship among the internationalization rhythm, institutional environment and firm performance. The findings of empirical evidence of Chinese listed firms have shown that there is a significantly negative relationship between an irregular and incoherent internationalization rhythm and firm performance, and the degree of marketization weakens the negative influence of internationalization rhythm on firm performance, while the economic policy uncertainty increases the negative correlation between them. In view of the further test of influencing mechanism and firm heterogeneity, it is found that absorptive capacity plays a partial mediating effect, and compared with large firms, state-owned firms and non-high-tech firms, the negative impact of irregular internationalization rhythm on firm performance could be alleviated in small and medium enterprises (SMEs), private firms and high-tech firms to a certain extent.

Research on the Formation Mechanism of Thriving at Work Based on the Perspective of Configuration
HAN Yi,ZONG Shuwei,LIU Geng
Using paired data from 75 team leaders and 278 employees as survey samples, the fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) was applied to integrate 5 antecedent conditions at 3 levels of unit contextual features, work resources, and agentic work behaviors to explore the multiple equivalent driving paths affecting thriving at work and collective thriving at work and their intrinsic formation mechanisms based on the configuration perspective. The findings suggested that psychological capital played a pervasive role in achieving thriving at work of employees and team psychological capital played a pervasive role in achieving collective thriving at work of teams. Meanwhile, there were three models that drove employees to generate high level of thriving status, namely the context & behavior-based model, the context-based model, and the resource-based model. Among them, the context & behavior-based model had a higher explanation degree than the others. Finally, there existed 4 models that drove teams to generate high levels of collective thriving at work, namely, the collective context & behavior-based model, the collective context-resource-behavior model, the collective context & resource-based model, and the collective context-based model.

The Double Edged Sword Effect of Benevolent Leadership on Work Deviance
Chungwai SO,LI Huan,DU Juan
Based on social exchange theory and moral disengagement theory, with the leader-member exchange and moral disengagement as the mediators, the reciprocal belief and moral identity as the moderators, this study uses scenario experiment and questionnaire survey methods to explore how and when benevolent leadership influence on workplace deviance in Chinese organizational context. The results show that:①benevolent leadership discourages work deviance through leader member exchange but promotes work deviance through moral disengagement;②moral identity moderates the positive relationship between benevolent leadership and moral disengagement, such that this relationship is stronger for those with lower moral identity;③reciprocal belief moderates the positive relationship between benevolent leadership and leader member exchange, such that this relationship is stronger for those with higher reciprocal belief.

Research on the Formation Mechanism of Thriving of Employee from the Perspective of Triple Resources
WANG Lele,ZHANG Lanxia,MAO Mengyu
According to the theory of resource conservation and resource caravans, based on the data of 369 longitudinal questionnaires, through Mplus 7.0 software, and using structural equation modeling, this study probed into the influencing factors of thriving of employee from the triple perspectives of individual resources, work resources and family resources, and verified the intermediary role of work family relationship in the process of triple resources affecting thriving of employee. Through the Stata 15.0 software, the relative weight analysis method was applied to analyze the relative influence of triple resources on thriving of employee and the relative intermediary strength of different work family relationships. The results show that work flexibility and family flexibility which belong to individual resources have a positive impact on thriving of employee through work-family conflict and family-work conflict respectively. Family-supported supervisor behavior belonging to work resources has a positive impact on thriving of employee through work-family enrichment and work-family conflict, among which work-family enrichment has a stronger effect. Work autonomy has a positive impact on thriving of employee only through work-family enrichment. Work-supported family behavior and family autonomy belonging to family resources have a positive impact on thriving of employee through family-work enrichment and family-work conflict, in which the intermediary role of family-work enrichment is stronger. Family resources have the greatest impact on thriving of employee, work resources are the second, and individual resources have the least impact.

Research on Dual Paths of Serial Entrepreneurship in the Context of Entrepreneurial Failure
LI Zhigang,REN Jiaqiu,ZHANG Dianzhen,DENG Xiaohui
Focusing on the research question of“How do serial entrepreneurs carry out subsequent entrepreneurship in the context of entrepreneurial failure”, this study uses grounded theory research method to construct the model which shows the serial entrepreneurial process under the dual development main lines of “external action path” and “internal growth path”of entrepreneurs. Results show that there are interaction phenomena of “action—growth” and “growth—action”in the dual paths of serial entrepreneurship, and the entrepreneurial talent and resource accumulation of serial entrepreneurs from failure will empower the next entrepreneurship.

The Driving Mechanism of Business Model Evaluation and Entrepreneurial Leadership on Strategic Entrepreneurship
LIU Gang
Based on the behavior innovation of strategic entrepreneurship, this study takes“context-cognition-behavior” as a logical framework and explores the relationships between business model evaluation, entrepreneurial leadership and strategic entrepreneurship by adding capability factors into the framework. Further the empirical examine is finished using 341 entrepreneurial firms as samples. The empirical results and robustness analysis show that three dimensions of business model evaluation, i.e. value offer evaluation, value capture evaluation and value architecture evaluation, can provide information on market directions, balanced resource structures and effective external supports for strategic entrepreneurship, and promote strategic entrepreneurship of firms. Entrepreneurial leadership can positively moderate the relationship between value offer evaluation, value capture evaluation and strategic entrepreneurship, but cannot moderate the relationship between value architecture evaluation and strategic entrepreneurship.

Research on Influence Mechanism of Paradoxical Leadership on Employees’ Intrapreneurship Behavior
XIONG Wenming,YU Weixin,CHEN Chuanming
Based on the theory of social cognition, this study explores whether, how and when paradoxical leadership shapes employees’intrapreneurship behavior using samples from 477 employees. The main findings are as follows: paradoxical leadership has a positive impact on employees’ intrapreneurship behavior. Leader-follower value congruence mediates the above relationship. Employees’ proactive personality could strengthen the positive relationship between paradoxical leadership and employees’ intrapreneurship behavior, and regulate the indirect effect of leader-follower value congruence.

Research on the Impact of Open Innovation Platform Access on Tacit Knowledge Spillover
WANG Tao,GUO Minrui,MOU Yupeng
Based on the social network perspective of multi-agent interaction in an open innovation platform and transaction cost theory, this study discusses negative network effects caused by platform openness. This study constructs a model to examine the influence of the platform access control on tacit knowledge spillovers, empirically explores the mechanism of multi-agent interaction structure and relationship characteristics in it, as well as two relation governance measures. 451 valid samples were collected from the questionnaires of employees and external users on the platform. The results show that when the platform releases its access control, internal tacit knowledge spillovers increase, mediated by the perception decentralization structural and the role ambiguity of participants. At the same time, the fairer procedures and the more socially responsible behaviors of the platform will weaken these positive impact.

Shared Discount Strategy in a Supply Chain Structure
CAO Qingning,DU Jiahao,YU Yugang,SUN Libo
There emerges a promotion strategy in supply chain where manufacturers incentivize retailers and consumers by allocating a product discount between them when one product is sold successfully, termed as shared discount strategy. This study explores the impacts of the discount allocation ratio on the manufacturer’s optimal wholesale price and the retailer’s order quantity decisions, and then compares this strategy with the wholesale price discount strategy and the unsold-discount strategy. The results demonstrate that the manufacturer’s optimal wholesale price under the shared discount strategy is higher than its optimal wholesale price under the unsold-discount strategy, but lower than its optimal wholesale price under the wholesale price discount strategy. In addition, when the product cost is low and the discount ratio shared by consumers is high, both the manufacturer and the retailer can extract a higher profit by adopting the shared discount strategy. In this case, the retailer’s optimal order quantity increases with the discount ratio (allocated to consumers) and the unit discount amount. The boundaries of the implementation of shared discount strategy in supply chain companies are further explained with the arithmetic examples of actual data from companies.

The Optimal Allocation of Relief Material: Free Trade, Price Limitation or Government Supply
YAO Dongmin,LAN Shuqin,YIN Ying,ZHANG Pengyuan
To find the optimal mode of disaster relief material allocation, this study establishes the material supply and demand model and compares the effects of different allocation modes selected by the government in different disaster areas from the perspective of consumer surplus. The results show that whether it is administrative order, market mechanism or a mixture of the two, different allocation modes may become the optimal choice under specific circumstances, there is no “one size fits all” optimal allocation mode. The choice of optimal allocation mode is affected by a combination of factors such as the proportion of disaster areas, supply and demand elasticity, financial capacity and government supervision. For minor disasters, the government shall distribute materials free of charge to disaster areas and allocate materials through the market in non-disaster areas. For serious disasters, the government with large financial capacity should distribute materials free of charge to the disaster areas and allocate materials through price limit intervention in non-disaster areas, while for the government with small financial capacity, it should allocate materials through the market under the supervision of the government for all regions.

Research on the Impact of Risk Information on Timing Disclosure of Annual Reports
LYU Kefu, YU Mingyang, LIU Chen,RUAN Yongping
Based on the data of the annual report risk information disclosure of Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2000 to 2019, this study explores the managers’strategic disclosure of qualitative information and the motivation behind it. Empirical research shows that: when the company disclosures more risk information in their annual reports, they will make timing disclosures. Further research suggests that when the company faces higher financing constraints or has a refinancing plan, its motivation for timing disclosure is stronger. Moreover, the motivation of managers for timing disclosure is to reduce the negative market reaction brought by the disclosure of annual report risk information. The economic consequences test indicates that the timing of the managers’ disclosure will increase the degree of divergence between analysts on the earnings forecasts of listed companies, and lead to the long-term deviation of listed company stocks from their intrinsic value.

Research on the Impact of Government Audit on the Allocation of State-Owned Enterprise Financial Assets
DOU Wei,ZHANG Shumin
In order to explore the impact mechanism and effect of government audit supervision on the financial asset allocation of state-owned enterprises, the implementation of the government audit is taken as a “natural” quasi-natural experimental window, and a multi-stage difference-in-differences model is constructed for the empirical test based on the sample of A-share non-financial central state-owned listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2008 to 2018. This study shows that the implementation of government audit significantly inhibits the financialization of central state-owned enterprises, especially the allocation of hidden financial assets. Through further analysis of the audit announcement publicly issued by the National Audit Office, it is found that the stronger the professionalism and purpose of the government audit, the frequency of implementation and disclosure, and the response to rectification, the better the inhibitory effect of the government audit. At the same time, there is complementarity between CPA audit and government audit.

Literature Review on Research of Nonstandard Workers
CHEN Chiyin,LI Xiaoxuan,ZHANG Kaili,TANG Ningyu
Nonstandard workers and formal workers constitute the employment diversity in the workplace. Using a literature review approach, this paper systematically analyzes the research on nonstandard workers in the management area. It reveals that the extant studies have explored both the customer and agency organizations’ influences on nonstandard workers, the nonstandard workers’ dual perceptions in the workplace, and the interactions between nonstandard workers and formal workers. Future research should leverage multiple perspectives from within-individual level, team and supervisor level, to organization level to clarify the factors affecting nonstandard workers’ behaviors and attitudes. Future studies can also analyze nonstandard workers’ career path based on theories of career development, as well as incorporate the social context to discuss nonstandard employee issues.
