From Traditional Industry to Industrial Internet Innovation Practice: The Evolution Process of XU Yigang’s Management Thought
PAN Qiong,DU Yifei
Using longitudinal case study, this paper explores the change management thought in different periods and the evolution process of thought based on the XU Yigang’s management practice of Internet transformation from traditional industry. It is found that the entrepreneur mainly adopts planned change management in the traditional industry practice, and continuous change management in the industrial Internet practice. The entrepreneur goes through the process of “conflict- retrospect”, and complete the transformation from planned change management to continuous change. In the practice period of industrial Internet, three important mechanisms for entrepreneurs to grasp the new trend and stimulate organizational vitality and creativity are restraining undertaking, role recession and instant retrospect. From the perspective of process, the research answers the question of how the continuous change management evolved from the planned change management, and constructs the activity mechanism of entrepreneurs in the process of industrial internet practice, which provides enlightenment for entrepreneurs and managers who focus on traditional industries transformation to change their thought and promote Internet practice.

Constructing the Conceptual Model of Crisis Leadership: A Qualitative Study Based on the Case of Chinese Flight Captain LIU Chuanjian
ZHENG Xiaoming,GUO Yirong,LIU Zhengguang
From the perspective of leadership and around the typical case of Chinese flight captain LIU Chuanjian, the concept and structure of crisis leadership were constructed by collecting four types of case study data, including news media reports, in-depth interviews with LIU Chuanjian, interviews with managers, and interviews with airline pilots, with a total of 290 000 transcribed words. Using the classical grounded theory, we constructed the concept and structure of crisis leadership, and further proposed the FLIGHT model of crisis leadership. We found that crisis leadership consisted of six dimensions: Foresee the Crisis, Load the Responsibility, Insist on the Faith, Govern the Situation, Head the People, and Thrive on Crisis. We also compared the flight model with the existent crisis management model, and discussed the theoretical contributions of this study and the implications for organizational management under the current crisis situation.

Revisiting Guanxi in Management Studies: The Perspective of “Guan” and “Xi” Interaction
ZHOU Shijin,YANG Zhangbo,LI Ping,ZHOU Jingzi
This study offers a systematic review of the current literature on guanxi, especially by differentiating guan dyads from xi networks based on social network theoretical lens. Based on this literature review, we propose a redirection of future research on guanxi such that guan dyads and xi networks are not examined in isolation; rather, their holistic and dynamic interaction is the most fruitful avenue for future research, especially the four mechanisms of their interaction (trust transfer, trust conversion, effect of Buddha’s “face”, multiplexity structure). The proposed reconceptualization and redirection are our two contributions to the literature.

A Case Study on the Realization Process and Mechanism of Micro-Innovation from the Perspective of Ambidextrous Capabilities
ZHANG Qingqiang,SUN Xinbo,QIAN Yu
This study focuses on the core problem of “the realization process and mechanism of micro-innovation from the perspective of ambidextrous capabilities”, in view of the influence mechanism of ambidextrous capabilities on the realization of micro-innovation.Combined with the exploratory single case study methodand taking Douyin Short-video as the case study object, this study systematically analyzes how to construct different ambidextrous capabilities driven by various uncertain factors to achieve micro-innovation in products. The study finds that based on the uncertainty of the environment, Douyin Short-video develops different ambidextrous capabilities—technology, market and value ambidextrous capabilities. In the process of product innovation, the enterprise realizes different innovation activities through the performance of different ambidextrous capabilities, finally realizes the micro-innovation and modification of products。And then a new mechanism model of ambidextrous capabilities is proposed.

A Study on the Influence of Shortfall in Performance Aspiration on Chinese Manufacturing Firms’Entry into the Real Estate Industry
SONG Yuanyang,KUANG Qian,CHEN Weiwei
Using Chinese manufacturing listed companies from 2008 to 2017 as the sample, this study investigates the influence of shortfall in performance aspiration on Chinese manufacturing firms’ entry into the real estate industry. The results suggest that the larger the shortfall in performance aspiration, the more serious the threat to efficiency that companies face, and the more likely companies are to enter the real estate industry to improve performance. The shortfall in performance aspiration has comparable influence as that of the profitability of the real estate industry and firm ownership of land. Private controlling shareholders and controlling shareholders with a high proportion of cash flow rights are more sensitive to the threat of efficiency caused by the shortfall in performance aspiration, and thus are more likely to mitigate the threats by entering the real estate industry, resulting in a greater impact of the shortfall in performance aspiration on entering the real estate industry. The more slack resources a firm has, the stronger the effect of the shortfall in performance aspiration on entering the real estate industry. Further analysis suggests that shortfall in performance aspiration also has a positive effect on the ratio of a manufacturing firm’s sales in the real estate industry to its total sales.

Intra-Organizational Network Structure and the Organization’s Position of Inter-Organizational R&D Cooperation Network
SUN Yutao,QU Yating,ZHANG Chen
Based on social network theory and double-level network perspective, this study proposes that intra-organization cooperation network’s centrality and structure holes respectively influences organization centrality of inter-organizational network, and the interaction effect of these two factors. 6 029 patents (2003~2017) from unmanned technology field were used for empirical testing. The results show that the centrality of intra-organizational network negatively affects the organization’s central position of inter-organizational network, while the number of structure holes of intra-organizational network has positive influence. The interaction between the two factors has significantly negative influence, which can decrease the organization’s centrality of inter-organizational network.

Research on the Technological Capability Leap of China’s Advanced Manufacturing Firms in Technological Catch-up and Surpassing
LI Lin,YANG Chengchuan,HE Jianhong
Based on the perspective of technology catching up and overtaking, this study discusses the characteristics and stage changes of the technological capability of advanced manufacturing enterprises in China. On the basis of exploratory analysis of the stage changes of Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., the hidden Markov model is applied to construct the implicit state and observation state matrix of the hierarchical stage of enterprise technical capability, and the model is evaluated and decoded. It is found that the technological capability of advanced manufacturing enterprises in China can be divided into four stages: experience learning, exploratory research, independent R&D and technology leading, which can be leapt step by step or leapfrogged in stages. Enterprises in different stages of technological capability have differentcatching uppaths, and the choice of appropriate catching up mode is helpful to break through the bottleneck of technological catching up and overtaking.

An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Collaborative Innovation Network Formation:Based on the ERGM
GUO Jianjie,XIE Fuji
This paper uses the joint patent data of telecommunication industry to construct the collaborative innovation network among industry, university and research institute from the perspective of social network. And identifies the factors of the endogenous network configuration and the exogenous node attribute influencing the formation of collaborative network formed. Based on the Exponential Random Graph Model (ERGM), it analyzes the influence of endogenous and exogenous factors on the formation of collaborative innovation network. The results implicate that collaborative innovation network is the embodiment of collaborative relationship socialization, and its formation is influenced by the interaction of endogenous and exogenous factors. The edge structure of the network shows significant sparse effect. The network is easy to form the star structure and triangle structure for resource sharing and exchange. The cooperative openness and regional matching of the organization in the network can increase the connection probability between network nodes, while the collaborative innovation ability and organization type matching do not play a significant role in promoting the formation of new relations in the network.

The Impacts of Ambidextrous Alliances on Firm’s Capability Reconfiguration:the Moderating Role of Knowledge Aggregation
FENG Xiaobin,LI Huahua,MA Xiaoshu
Based on data collected from 316 manufacturing enterprises as samples, this study explores the impact of ambidextrous alliances (including exploratory alliance and exploitative alliance) on firm’s capability reconfiguration (CR), and also explores the moderating effects of knowledge aggregation on the above relationships. The result shows that exploratory alliance has an inverted U-shape impact on capability substitution, but has a negative impact on capability evolution. In contrast, exploitative alliance has a negative impact on capability substitution but has an inverted U-shape impact on capability evolution. Moreover, knowledge coupling has a positive moderating effect on the relationship between exploratory alliance and CR, but negatively moderates the relationship between exploitative alliance and CR. Knowledge cohesion has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between exploratory alliance and CR, but positively moderates the relationship between exploitative alliance and CR.

The Effect of Channel Diversity on Manufacturer-Distributor Relationship
ZHAO Xingyu,ZHUANG Guijun
This study explores the impact of channel diversity on the relationship between manufacturers and distributors through channel conflict and channel collaboration (operationalized as joint planning and joint problem solving). By analyzing the data collected from 477 respondents, the empirical research findings show that: ①channel diversity can increase the conflict between manufacturers and distributors; ②channel diversity also can increase the level of collaboration between the two parties; ③channel diversity has a double-edged sword effect on the relationship between manufacturers and distributors: channel diversity can reduce manufacturers’ satisfaction with cooperation by intensifying channel conflict, and at the same time can increase manufacturers’ satisfaction with cooperation by improving channel collaboration.

Scale Development and Validation of Customer Service Appropriation
ZHOU Tianshu,MA Qinhai,YANG Yong,CHEN Haifeng
Based on the literature review, the concept connotation of customer service appropriation is defined. The initial items of customer service appropriation are developed through focus group interview, open questionnaire survey and coding technology of grounded theory. An 8 items scale is developed through pre-investigation and formal investigation by applying reliability analysis, factor analysis, and other statistical methods. Then selecting customer engagement and customer emotion as criterion variable, a conceptual model “customer service appropriation-customer emotion-customer engagement” is built based on the theory of engagement to test the effects of the scale and explore the impact of customer service appropriation on customer engagement. The results indicate that customer service appropriation positively effects customer engagement, and customer emotion plays a mediate effect in this relationship.

Research on Financial Derivatives Investment and Corporate Cash Flow Volatility Risk
LIU Jingjian,XU Yiqi,LI Huizhu
To reveal the mechanism and effect of financial derivatives on the risk of corporate cash flow fluctuations, this study collects “derivative” data in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchange from 2015 to 2018, and examines the relationship between financial derivative investment and cash flow fluctuation of Chinese listed manufacturing companies based on Heckman two-stage model. Empirical results show that financial derivatives reduce the risk of cash flow fluctuation, and this effect of financial derivative investment is moderated by the level of operating risk, information asymmetry, as well as agency cost., which clarifies the demanders and influence mechanism of financial derivatives. Further analysis shows that foreign exchange derivatives and commodity derivatives can reduce the risk of cash flow volatility, but the effect of interest rate derivatives is not significant; financial derivatives increase the non-systematic risk but have no effect on systemic risk; financial derivatives fail to enhance the corporate value.

Enterprise Intrinsic Value Evaluation and Case Study Based on Decision Orientation
WANG Haisu,YAN Yutong,QIN Zihang
Abstract: Aiming at meeting the practical needs of enterprise for decision information optimization, this paper, based on the theories of enterprise strategic management and performance evaluation, redefines the concept of intrinsic value, discusses the necessity and feasibility of its evaluation, and designs an evaluation technical scheme accordingly. Then the scheme is applied in the case ofBaosteel Corporation. The research results show that the intrinsic value, restricted by rules of factor market and commodity market, can be regarded as a special kind of discounted cash flow affected by previous, current as well as future economic situations, and a combination of enterprises’ current and future behaviors. It suggests that pilot projects should be implemented to realize intrinsic value’s function in testing book value and balancing market value.

The Knowledge Map and Hotspot Tendency of Team Conflict Management Based on Bibliometric Analysis from 1996 to 2020
LIAO Lin,SU Tao,CHEN Chunhua
In order to systematically analyze the intrinsic connection and development trend of team conflict management research, this article reviewed team conflict literature in management field from 1996-2020 in Web of Science Core Collection. With the help of Citespace and other visual tools, it drew Key Word Co-occurrence Map and Strategic Coordinate Map of team conflict studies. In addition, the hot spots, theoretical framework and research tendency were also displayed. It found that intra-team conflict, trust, performance and strategic decision were the current 4 hot topics in this field. In future research, exploring the transformation process and boundary conditions among different types of conflict will be a breakthrough in clarifying the structure and mechanism of team conflict. Second, the discussion on the relationship between team conflict and performance combined with other types of conflict and different stages of team life cycle will be a valuable supplement to its existing impact research. Third, it is critical to identify the trust barriers among the members of the top management team and the fast trust mechanisms in the virtual team in trust-conflict relation study. Last but not least, as a key step to resolve conflict, exploring the mechanism of the combination of different conflict management strategies also need to be taken into consideration.
