Empirical methods in the field of the social sciences have been developed from verification to falsification. “DuhemQuine thesis” and “Two Dogmas of Empiricism” have shaken the philosophical foundation of positivism. The researchers used to utilize the method of reductionism in empirical studies; however, some concepts such as “human relationship” and “face” are rather difficult to be reduced or even can not be reduced in management studies, especially organizational culture ones. Therefore, this paper proposes that the diversified research methods including hermeneutic should be included in the field of management study.
