Abstract:In response to the growth problems of latecomers, this paper analyzes the whole process from
latecomer to leading in the domestic software industry leader Kingdee through longitudinal case study methods. We found that the competitive advantage of the latecomer enterprise comes from the niche advantage of the enterprise in the process of catch-up, and the essence of the catch-up problem is the optimization of its enterprise niche. Product innovation, management innovation and business innovation are important corporate practices to support enterprise niche optimization. Meanwhile, the window of opportunities and strategic objectives drive the realization of the above practices respectively. Also, the research revealed that the ecological management thought of Xu shaochun faces realistic problems, and it is helpful for improving the enterprise’s competitive ability and supporting it to catch up successfully.
