Abstract：Based on relevant Chinese and western research, this study uses knowledge mapping technology to summarize the origin, core issues, hot topics and development progress of leader humor, and propose an integrative research framework. Meanwhile, through an overall review of domestic literature, this study finds the need to improve domestic research in terms of indigenous compatibility. Thus that, combined with the Chinese institutional and cultural context, this study points out the future direction of study on leader humor in Chinese context which provides reference for promoting indigenous study on leader humor.
