One of the major missions of management and organization research in China is to comprehend the inherent discipline of Chinese management and organization phenomena. Grounded in China context the current studies develop the valid measures for the adapted or developed constructs. The studies introduce relationships with new concepts, or introducing mediators/moderators that can grasp the uniqueness of Chinese context. They also introduce conceptual or theoretical logics (e.g., Confucianism) that were developed from or embedded in Chinese context. To conclude, we propose some methods for contextualized theorybuilding and discuss the implications for future contextualized management and organization research related to China.
