Abstract: Objective To conduct a Meta-integration of user experience of rehabilitation robots for patients with limb dysfunction. Methods We researched databases of PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, ProQuest, IEEE Xplore Digital Library, CNKI, WanFang Data, VIP, and CBM for qualitative researches regarding patients' experience with rehabilitation robots from the inception to January 5, 2023, including. The quality of the included studies was evaluated according to the JBI Critical Appraisal Tool for qualitative studies, and aggregative integration was used to analyze the results. Results A total of 16 studies were included, extracting 55 research results, and 3 synthesized findings including physical and mental benefits of increasingly pronounced effects, multiple barriers in human-robot interaction, and future-oriented user expectation were grouped from 10 categories. Conclusion Patients have perceived physical, psychological, and social benefits from using rehabilitation robots, but they still face individual, robotic, and environmental challenges. Optimized functional design, enhanced skills training, less expenditure, and application in communities will improve user experience of rehabilitation robots, so as to promote its application in domestic rehabilitation nursing.

Key words: limb dysfunction, rehabilitation robot, experience, Meta-synthesis, qualitative research
