Construction of evaluation index system for clinical practice effect of Master of Nursing Specialist students

Abstract: Objective To construct an evaluation index system for clinical practice effect of Master of Nursing Specialist (MNS) students, and to provide reference for promoting the training of standardized clinical practice of nursing postgraduates. Methods Taking the Kirkpatrick Model as the theoretical framework, an evaluation index system for clinical practice effect of MNS students was constructed after literature review. Delphi expert consultation and analytic hierarchy process were used to screen the indicators and determine the weight of indicators at all levels. Results The effective response rate of two rounds of expert consultation was 94% and 100%, respectively; the authority coefficient of experts 0.805, and 0.821, respectively, and the Kendall's W coefficients 0.387 and 0.291, respectively (all P<0.001). The final evaluation index system of clinical practice effect of MNS students consisted of 4 first-level indicators (reaction, learning, behavior and result), 10 second-level and 40 third-level indicators. Conclusion The constructed evaluation index system of clinical practice effect of MNS students provides quantitative basis for the comprehensive evaluation of clinical practice effect and continuous improvement of clinical training model.
