Abstract: Objective To summarize the research hotspots in the field of remote lung rehabilitation abroad and understand its development and trend. Methods We searched Web of Science and PubMed with "pulmonary", "telerehabilitation" as the key words for literature on remote lung rehabilitation from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2021, and the bibliographic co-occurrence analysis system (BICOMB 2.0) was introduced to extract high-frequency keywords to form a word matrix. The word matrix was clustered and analyzed by gcluto 1.0 software. Results A total of 774 articles were collected, and 354 eligible ones were finally included. Thirty-two high-frequency keywords were intercepted, and four hotspots were obtained by cluster analysis, which were categorized into three directions: (1) improvement of equipment, content and form of remote lung rehabilitation, including technical optimization of wearable devices, network and remote conference platform; (2) the role and benefits of remote lung rehabilitation, including physical and mental health, self-management ability, cost-effectiveness, etc; (3) factors hindering patients from remote lung rehabilitation, including privacy and security. Conclusion Currently, the research of remote lung rehabilitation is developing rapidly, and a relatively perfect remote home lung rehabilitation system has been established abroad. The model of remote home lung rehabilitation in China is still in its infancy. This study summarizes the four hotspots and three directions of remote lung rehabilitation research in recent years, which help to promote the development of remote lung rehabilitation in China.
