Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of micro-video of anti-violence skills in the training of psychiatric junior nurses. Methods A convenient sampling method was adopted to select 80 psychiatric junior nurses in a tertiary grade-A psychiatric hospital as the research objects and they were divided into control group and experimental group by drawing lots, with 40 nurses in each group. The control group were trained with conventional method. The experimental group with micro-video of anti-violence skills. After ten weeks of training, the theoretical and operational assessment results and the ability to deal with violence, the practice effects and the incidence of injury when dealing with violence in the two groups were surveyed and compared. Results The score of theoretical and operational assessment in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (χ2=19.093,P<0.001). Nurses in the experimental group presented better ability to deal with violence (P<0.001),and there were better practice effects in the experimental group (P<0.001).There were lower incidence of injury when dealing with violence in the experimental group(P<0.05). Conclusion Micro-video of anti-violence skills helps to stimulate nurse's learning interest, improve the effect of training and the ability to deal with violence and reduce the incidence of injury.
