Green-channel Management of Stroke Patients in Emergency Department during Post-epidemic Period

Abstract: Objective To explore the management of green-channel for acute stroke patients in the context of infectious disease prevention and control and to provide reference for relevant research. Methods On the basis of time node management, the layout of the emergency department was adjusted, and a special isolation area and CT room were set up. Adjustment of personnel allocation, triage to screen epidemiological history, ‘parallel' process for the triage and green channel, and strict infection prevention and control were implemented in emergency department. Results After optimization, green channel stroke patients from door to doctor's clinical reception, door to blood collection, door to CT scan were lower than those before optimization(P<0.001). The median time from door to needle and the time from door to hospitalization were shorter than those before optimization(P<0.001). Conclusion In the context of COVID-19, optimizing the management of green channel can ensure the prevention and control of infectious diseases and guarantee the efficiency of green channel for stroke patients.
