Application of Hierarchical Full-crew Teaching Mode in Nursing Teaching in Neurology Department

Abstract: Objective To observe the application effect of hierarchical full-crew teaching mode in nursing teaching of neurology department. Methods A total of 96 newly admitted nurses of in-turn in neurology department of our hospital were selected and divided into observation group (n=51) and control group (n=45). The observation group adopted the hierarchical teaching mode, while the control group the traditional one-to-one tutorial mode. The assessment results (theory and operation) of the nursing department in the first month after the admission, the satisfaction rate of nurses, the time limit of the nurses to be independently on duty after passing the first month assessment, and the cooperation with doctors were compared. Results In the control group, the score of primary care, specific nursing, and system and process was 80.20±4.32, 86.74±4.42 and 82.20±3.50 respectively and satisfaction rates of reasonable arrangement of teaching content, teacher's capacity, reasonable teaching method and teaching method combining with clinical practice were 24%, 97%, 24%, and 35% respectively. The time limit for independent duty was (10.36±2.38)d. Doctor-nurse cooperation rates were 42% for timely execution of orders, 44% for satisfaction rate of orders execution quality, 24% for smooth communication, and 33% for quality satisfaction. In the observation group, the score of primary care, specific nursing, and system and process was 93.40±5.80, 90.25±4.50 and 92.19±3.58 respectively satisfaction rates of reasonable arrangement of teaching content, teacher's capacity, reasonable teaching method and teaching method combining with clinical practice were 84%, 96%, 100% and 100% respectively. The time limit for independent duty was (7.64±3.68)d; Doctor-nurse cooperation rates were 94% for timely execution of orders, 80% for satisfaction rate of orders execution quality, 94% for smooth communication, and 94% for quality satisfaction. The teaching effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The full-crew teaching mode is conducive to the management and development of the department, to ensuring the safety of nursing work, improving the overall ability of nurses, and the overall teaching effect of neurology department.
