Abstract: Objective To systematically evaluate qualitative studies on psychological experience of ICU patients' family members during ICU transfer, and to provide reference for formulating effective ICU transfer strategies in line with China's national condition. Methods We searched databases including PubMed, CINAHL, The Cochrane Library, EMbase, Ovid and Chinese biomedical database (CBM), CNKI, VIP and Wanfang from the inception to June 2019, to collect qualitative studies on psychological experience of family members during patients' transfer from ICU. Quality evaluation standard of qualitative research papers in Australian JBI evidence-based health care center was used to evaluate the quality, and the meta-integration method for meta-integration. Results Twelve studies were enrolled with 74 results,10 new categories and 3 integrated results including transferring emotional experience; perceiving change events during transfer and transfer demand. Conclusion Family members have psychological pressure in the process of the patient's transfer. In addition to treating the patients, more attention should go to family caregivers. Positive and healthy guidance is helpful for family members to play an important support role in the treatment and rehabilitation of the patients.
