Abstract Owing to unfolding a vigorous campaign by Taiwan businessmen in the mainland of China, academic circle is researching their management mode and experience deeply. From CNKI and Electronic Theses and Dissertations System of Taiwan national library, internal and external academic research results of human resources management contributed by the Taiwan businessmen were commented. An overview of the literature was made. The investment motive of Taiwan businessmen, the work values of mainland employees, the localized training of Taiwanese managers, the selecting and appointing of mainland managers, staff motivation and labor relations research were discussed. The research progress and shortcomings were elaborated. Some directions of future research are also suggested.
