Abstract：Based on 38 articles published in the field of entrepreneurship, general management, pathology and multidisciplinary sciences, this article provides a systematic literature review of entrepreneurship research from a pathological perspective. It is found that the existing research has explored the relationship between pathological characteristics (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, in particular) and entrepreneurial activities. It has also explored the effects of pathological characteristics on entrepreneurial decision-making, entrepreneurial cognition and entrepreneurial performance, and the influencing factors of pathological characteristics or entrepreneurs’ diseases. Future research can extend the research context, combine the current research with entrepreneurial failure, focus on the relationship between pathological characteristics and three elements of entrepreneurship, concern the dark sides of pathological characteristics, and apply theories and research methods from other disciplines, in order to promote and deepen the development of entrepreneurship research from a pathological perspective.
