Abstract:This study embeds the research of TMS in the entrepreneurial context, and explores the effects mechanism of TMS of entrepreneurial teams under the consideration of internal and external contingency factors from the perspective of team leadership. Empirical analysis using 178 new enterprise data show that transformational leadership (TFL) and transactional leadership (TAL) have positive impacts on TMS of entrepreneurial teams; the positive relationship between TFL and TMS of entrepreneurial teams is positively modulated by team heterogeneity and reflexivity, but team reflexivity negatively modulates the relationship of TAL and TMS; policy uncertainty positively modulates the positive relationship between TFL and TMS of entrepreneurial teams, while market uncertainty positively modulates the positive relationship between TAL and TMS of entrepreneurial teams. These conclusions indicate that the new ventures should match the transformational and transactional team leadership styles according to internal and external context to promote the formation of TMS of entrepreneurial teams.
