Construction of core competency evaluation indictor system for anesthesia nurses

Abstract: Objective To construct a core competency evaluation indictor system for anesthesia nurses and standardize the training and evaluation of anesthesia nurses. Methods After literature review, clinical practice and theoretical analysis, the preliminary core competency evaluation indictor system was constructed after the Delphi method was used to conduct 2 rounds of correspondence in 20 experts. The weight of the indexes at all levels was calculated. Results The effective recovery rate of the 2 rounds of expert correspondence was 90.9% and 100% respectively; the coefficient of expert authority 0.857 and 0.872 respectively. The final core competency evaluation indictor system for anesthesia nurses consisted of 6 first-level, 18 second-level, and 76 third-level indexes. The harmonization coefficient of the first-, second- and third-level indicators was 0.293, 0.251 and 0.159 respectively (P<0.001). Conclusion The core competency evaluation indictor system for anesthesia nurses is scientific and reliable, and it provides reference and insights for the training and evaluation of anesthesia nurses.
