Cooperative training of nursing undergraduates in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area:a SWOT analysis

Abstract: Objective To conduct strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis on the cooperative training of nursing undergraduates in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Methods After the collection of literature and materials, we conducted a SWOT analysis on the cooperative training of nursing undergraduates in GBA. Results There were advantages of good environment for nursing cooperation and rich resources in GBA, and disadvantages of the differences in nursing education among the three areas and the restricted free movement of educational cooperation elements. Opportunities included policy support and alliance support, and threats included the problem of practicing and the imperfect cooperative training mechanism. Conclusion Combining its own advantages and policy support, the GBA should integrate resources guided by the social background, play the role of the nursing alliance in the GBA, and innovate the cooperative training mechanism.
