Abstract: Objective To survey the current Status and its influencing factors of posttraumatic growth (PTG) in patients with primary liver cancer after operation. Methods Convenient sampling method was used to select patients with primary liver cancer after operation hospitalized in the Department of Hepatic Surgery and Interventional Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China from December 2019 to December 2020 as the research subjects. Patients were investigated by using general information questionnaire, Post-traumatic Growth Scale, Revised Pain Disclosure Index Scale, Medical Coping Style Questionnaire and Perceived Social Support Scale. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of PTG. Results The total PTG score of 241 patients with primary liver cancer was 61.60±18.68. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that marital status, age, educational background, fertility, self-disclosure, face-coping, yielding-coping and social support were the influence factors of PTG of patients with primary liver cancer after surgery (P<0.05), explaining 69.5% of the total variation. Conclusion PTGof patients with primary liver cancer after operation is in the medium level.Healthcare workers should attach importance to the assessment of PTG in patients with primary liver cancer surgery, focus on the elderly, single/divorced/widowed, the less educated and childless patients, improve the self-disclosure, social support, coping styles, and the level of the PTG.
