Abstract: Objective To evaluate the development of smartphone applications in the field of cancer systematically and provide reference for standardizing its future development. Methods Different databases were retrieved by computer from the inception to December,2019 and descriptive analysis of the development of smartphone applications in the field of cancer was conducted. Results A total of 13 studies were included. The overall developing process of mobile applications in the field of cancer is a patient's needs-oriented process in which researchers were at the core. After clear definition of the functions, researchers cooperated closely with medical professionals, experts and technical developers to complete the process. Conclusion The rigorous development of smartphone applications in the field of cancer directly affects the intervention and great attention should be attached to developing process. Multidiscipline team and rigorous methods are conducive to the development of high-quality mobile application, so as to meet the needs of cancer patients better.
