Abstract Motivated by the continuum behavioral theory of leadership, we propose a continuum trust model, with committingtrust and convincingtrust as two extremes and adjustingtrust as the middle of the continuum. According to the continuum trust model, from the perspective of convincingtrust, we propose a framework of intercultural trust, addressing adjustments in some of the stages in intercultural trustbuilding process. Finally, based on those efforts to integrate the indigenous Chinese thinking with the Western theories, we give some implications to develop Chinese theories of management and promote them well in the globe.
