Abstract With the nonlocal entrepreneurs emerging more in China, they are making increasingly important contributions to local economic and social development. However, those special entrepreneurs are largely neglected in previous academic researches. Based on CPSED, this study explores the primary features of nonlocal entrepreneurs as well as their entrepreneurial process from micro perspective. Empirical evidences suggest that nonlocal entrepreneurs are sharply different from local entrepreneurs in initial entrepreneurial conditions, entrepreneurial behaviors as well as performance expectation.
