Abstract  Faced with the dual constraints of resource endowments limit and high cost of legalization, how to survive and grow has become the center of the study of entrepreneurship and new firm growth. Situated learning theory in the context of small businesses show that new business formation and growth is a process of situated learning. Compared with situated learning growth theory with network growth theory and legalization growth theory, we find that situational learning growth theory is more suitable for explaining the phenomenon of firm growth in the complicated environment. Based on script analysis framework of structuration theory and combing relevant literature articles abroad on entrepreneurship and firm growth, we propose new concept of firm growth model based on entrepreneurial learning context, and discuss the revelation of the model for the study of entrepreneurship and firm growth and future research directions.
