Abstract  This study proposes the framework of innovation appropriability management in alliance partnership which includes three dimensions, i.e. joint governance, procedural justice and interparty trust, and investigates the impacts of innovation appropriability management on alliance performance through network capability and knowledge sharing. The results indicate that the impacts of joint governance on knowledge sharing and network capability are positive and significant; procedural justice does not impact knowledge sharing and network capability significantly; interparty trust has a negative and insignificant relation with knowledge sharing, and insignificant impact on network capability; knowledge sharing and network capability both have positive impact on alliance performance, and knowledge sharing has positive impact on network capability.
