Abstract Based on the theory of resource leverage, this study analyzes two Chinese companies’ cases to deconstruct how they use resource leverage to break through the increasing technical pressure in the process of internationalization. This study found that, the technical pressure suffered by Chinese enterprises in the process of internationalization was manifested as the pressure of technical standards and technical level; resource linkage and organizational learning interactions acted together on the formation of resource leverage. Resource linkage provided resources to support for organizational learning, and organizational learning transformed resources into ability to promoting resource connection, both had the leverage effect on breaking through the technical pressure; Chinese internationalization enterprises based on the market-oriented tended to use breadth linkage and transformative learning interaction to promote the efficiency resource leverage, while Chinese internationalization enterprises based on the technical-oriented tended to use depth linkage and anticipatory learning interaction to promote the innovative resource leverage.
