Abstract To promote knowledge sharing and collaboration between entrepreneurs in business incubator, this study constructs knowledge supernetwork model among entrepreneurs, establishes a mechanism model of knowledge innovation, knowledge diffusion, network connection, and entry and exit through theoretical analysis of business incubator’s operation mechanism. Moreover, this study uses multi-agent simulation to analyze the influence of mechanism model on knowledge performance, reveals the knowledge interaction and network revolution among entrepreneurs and compares the difference of knowledge supernetwork between diversified and specialized business incubators. The results suggest that knowledge performance indicators and network structure indicators both present cyclical fluctuations. Moreover, entrepreneur’s average knowledge stock, average knowledge points, knowledge application scope, network density and average clustering coefficient in specialized incubators are higher than that in diversified business incubators and specialized incubators are conducive to the diffusion of knowledge. Additionally, entrepreneurs’ network centralization in diversified incubators is higher than that in specialized business incubators and diversified incubator’s managers should pay more attention to entrepreneurs who are located in the cores of network and give full play to their leading role of knowledge diffusion.
