Abstract：From the view of management, this research will study the connotation of the mass line and its role in the management thought history. The research will show that the mass line is a theory that includes management purpose, management principles and management methods. At the same time, it is important to the management thought history. First, it not only inherits the main idea of the Confucianism but also surpasses the Confucianism for its advocating mass democracy. Secondly, it also surpasses the scientific management theory and it is an important power that changes the development direction of western management science in the past few decades.
