The demand-oriented collective bargaining is launched by labors, which can solve labor-management disputes better than the collective consultation led by government, and is an important issue of collective bargaining system and the formation of collective labor relations in China. Based on multi-case study, this research aims to explore how this type of bargaining forms and what factors contribute to the formation mechanism. Further, this study proposes a theoretical model about the formation mechanism of demand-oriented wage collective bargaining in China. The research result indicates that the factors, which influence formation mechanism of wage demand-oriented collective bargaining, include labor, management, government, external forces and external environment of 5 level 20 factors. In conclusion, the demand-oriented collective bargaining on wages is formed under multi-force of the labor launch, the management concession, government push, and the third party assistance together.
