Abstract： Based on the double value chain of R&D services, this paper discusses the mechanism of R&D transaction process. First, it summarizes three paths of transaction mechanism of R&D services, in which technology intermediaries play a role in changing transaction environment and reducing dissymmetry of information. Second, it chooses two indicators of market and technology factors to build a transaction analysis model for R&D services, and to highlight the role of subjects (R&D suppliers and demanders, intermediaries) under this situation of information dissymmetry. Third, it explores the leverage effects of technology intermediaries in the transaction mechanism of R&D services to illustrate the positive and /or negative effects the technology intermediaries play in the transaction volume of R&D services.
