Abstract:The basic relationship between management theory and context is ambiguous and needs to be clarified. Taking 4 management theories as typical examples, this study focuses on the subject of “Whether can Management Theories Containing Context be Universality?” and “Can theory contextual research achieve universality?”. This study in turn answers 2 issues of “whether do management theories contain context”. At first,this study examines the perspective about development process of management showing 3 stages of the relationship, such as “context accompanied”,“context relevant” and “context constrained” It’s concluded that management theories are context attached. Then, this study investigates the logical clue of management theories, and finds the inherent scientific logic of management theories’ generation showing 3 types of changes, such as “context focused”, “context generalized”, “situation restrained”.It means that management theories go through “context eliminated”. It’s concluded that context research can achieve universality. And then, this study discusses the context research with a certain theoretical contributions can become a universal theory. Finally,this study gives a complete explanation of the subject “management theories containing context can achieve universality”, providing a reference of promoting the research of Chinese context.
