Construction of quality evaluation index system for hydrogen peroxide low-temperature plasma sterilization in hospitals

Abstract: Objective To construct a systematic and standardized quality evaluation index system for hydrogen peroxide low-temperature plasma sterilization, and to provide reference for scientifically evaluating sterilization efficacy. Methods Using a three-dimensional quality evaluation model as theoretical framework, the draft of the quality evaluation index system was formulated through literature review, theoretical analysis, and group discussions. With Delphi method, two rounds of survey were conducted in 15 experts from various fields including disinfection supply, infection prevention and control, and equipment management. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to determine the weight of the indicators. Results Effective response rate of two rounds of survey was 88% and 100%; expert authority coefficient 0.940 and 0.960, and Kendall's harmony coefficient 0.166 and 0.236, respectively (all P<0.001). The final quality evaluation index system for hydrogen peroxide low-temperature plasma sterilization in hospitals consisted of 3 first-level, 11 secondary-level, and 52 third-level indicators. Conclusion The constructed quality evaluation index system for hydrogen peroxide low-temperature plasma sterilization is scientific, practical, and targeted, providing theoretical reference for the quality evaluation of hydrogen peroxide low-temperature plasma sterilization.
