Construction and practice of innovative ability-guided “nursing postgraduates and undergraduates learning community”

Abstract: Objective To construct a “One body, four wings” “research and learning community of nursing postgraduates and undergraduates” to solve the difficulties in cultivating nursing students' scientific research and innovation ability. Methods The “One body, four wings” “research and learning community of nursing postgraduates and undergraduates” was constructed and practiced among 70 nursing undergraduates and 35 full-time nursing postgraduates in a medical college of a university in Hunan Province. Results With the implementation of the model, difficulties in training innovative nursing talents in colleges and universities were addressed. Scientific research ability and sense of gain in nursing undergraduates were enhanced, and the internal driving force of research innovation was activated and the innovative thinking ability of postgraduates was improved. Conclusion The establishment of “research and learning community of nursing postgraduate and undergraduate” contributes to the effective aggregation of innovation resources, which provides a paradigm for cultivating nursing students' scientific research innovation ability.
