Abstract: ： Objective To measure vesicle drainage fluid color of transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) and transurethral resection of bladder tumour (TURBT) by using spectrophotometer and develop a shade guide. Methods A total of 89 samples were chosen from patients who had TURP or TURBT since December, 2019 to November, 2020. A spectrophotometer was used to measure the color of bladder irrigation drainage fluid, and a bladder irrigation drainage fluid shade guide was developed through nonparametric cluster analysis. Results The color of bladder irrigation fluid was classified into four categories, and the difference of CIEL*a*b* parameters among different categories was statistically significant (P<0.05). In addition to the clear color, a 5-color shade guide for bladder irrigation fluid was developed. The color difference between different groups was significant (△E>3.7). Conclusion The 5-color shade guide of bladder irrigating drainage fluid has certain guiding significance for postoperative patients'; condition judgment and irrigating speed adjustment.
