Current Status of Training Identity of Nursing Home Staff in Shanxi Province and Its Influence Factors: A 1, 546-case Study

Abstract: Objective To investigate the training identity of nursing home staff and analyze the influencing factors, so as to provide reference for improving the training identity of nursing home staff. Methods With convenient sampling method, a total of 1,546 members of nursing home staff were selected from 7 nursing home training bases in Shanxi Province and they were surveyed by a self-designed questionnaire of training identity of nursing home staff. Results The overall training identity score was 4.35±0.62, indicating a high level of recognition. Multiple regression analysis showed that the factors influencing training identity of nursing home staff were whether with career plan or not, the establishment time of the training base and its nature, whether there is nursing major or not in the base, and teaching method (P<0.05). Conclusion The training identity of nursing home staff is in a relatively high level, with the highest level in the dimension of training teaching team and the lowest of training facilities and daily management. The teaching methods such as integrating theory with practice is recommended and the assessment of the training base and improved management and teaching facilities are conducive to promote the training quality and training identity of nursing home staff.
