Abstract Under the guidance of social information processing theory, this study investigates the influence of perceived organizational support on the continuous participation intention of service providers in task-based crowdsourcing platforms and the moderating effects of perceived environmental uncertainty. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed on 336 valid questionnaires to validate the theoretical model. The results of the study indicate a significant positive effect of perceived organizational support of the service providers on the willingness to continuous participation. Psychological empowerment mediates the relationship between perceived organizational support and continuous participation intention. The intensity of perceived environmental dynamics and hostility moderate the relationship between perceived organizational support and psychological empowerment. At the same time, these factors also moderate the mediating role of perceived organizational support in influencing continuous participation intention through psychological empowerment.
