Abstract This research is based on social cognition theory with data from a sample of 276 subordinate-supervisor dyads, starting from the employee advice which is on the action level. Supervisors’ response to voice is taken as mediator, and voice efficacy and affective commitment as the dependent variables, and the sense of power as the moderator variable. The results show that the employee voice behavior has a positive influence on voice efficacy and affective commitment, the role supervisors’ response to voice has a significant mediation effect. The interaction of supervisor’s sense of power and employee voice behavior has a positive influence on voice efficacy, and it doesn’t have a positive influence on affective commitment.
