Abstract Based on the theories of knowledge transfer and network of organization, this study investigates the issue of knowledge discreteness in knowledge network. With hypothesis
developed, the evolution path of knowledge discreteness based on knowledge transfer is build up. It indicates that the knowledge discreteness is divided into four types according to speed
and potential gap of knowledge transfer. It is concluded that, knowledge discreteness is evolved along with two nonlinear paths.
