Abstract Based on the concept and characteristic of tacit knowledge, according to the theory of practice, this study proposed a method of problemdriven tacit knowledge acquisition.
With the research findings of cognitive science, after analyzing cognitive structure and problem situation for problem solving, a problem space model is constructed to keep the completeness
of tacit knowledge. Based on the problem space model, an open model for tacit knowledge acquisition process is presented. Finally, a case study of a car facility production line problem is
provided to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of this approach.
