Abstract Under the demand information asymmetry, this study investigates the effect of fairness concerns on the optimal decisions of a dyadic supply chain with wholesale price contract by constructing decision-making models with fairness concerns of different supply chain members. Results under the demand information asymmetry show that:①some effects of fairness concerns on supply chain under complete information hold under incomplete information as well; ②fairness concerns have different effects on the equilibrium results in different parameter regions, where the fairness concerns impact factor and market demand distribution are the key factors; ③supply chain members’s fairness concerns may not increase its equilibrium profit constantly;④the effects of information asymmetry on the equilibrium results are not affected by the fairness concerns.
