Abstract Organizational character refers to personality character of different individuals in the organization that has been recognized by the outside world, and it is one of the key differences among organizations, and also an important theoretical perspective to analyze and predict organizational behaviors. In this article, based on the introduction of the connotation of organizational character and the differences of similar concepts, it reviews and summarizes the relevant researches about the structural dimension, measuring tool, formation mechanism, influential factor and influences of organizational character, and then proposes important directions that shall be noticed in the existing researches. In the future researches, the theoretical study on the mechanism of the formation of organizational character shall be stressed further.
