Abstract Among the last seven years, previous forums of “China?Practice?Management” have strengthened scholars’ consensus on the importance of Chinese management practice research. However, there are still considerable inconsistencies of beliefs in terms of how to understand and how to conduct Chinese management practice research. With a perspective of promoting healthy development of management discipline, the present article reviewed keynote speeches on the seventh “China?Practice?Management” forum and systematically examined scholars’ belief differences concerning the connotation, mission and responsibility, goals and tasks, objects, and approaches of Chinese management practice research. It is expected to clarify scholars’ underlying beliefs of Chinese management practice research and achieve the scientific and social mission of management research more and better.
