Abstract The widely used multiple team membership (MTM) would take partial place of single team membership which is the premise of mainstream team researches, and extend the scenario of team research. MTM is universal, complicated, conditional applied, and is different from other concepts. This paper reviewed the direct studies at both individual and team level, and analyzed the indirect studies from different perspectives including multitask, multiple identities and team boundary spanning. An integrated model was proposed and some suggestions were given.
