Abstract Through 1224 questionnaires of state-owned enterprise (SOE) employees, this research uses SEM to explore the effect of the perceptions of organizational politics (POP) on in-role performance and organizational citizenship behavior(OCB), as well as testing the moderation effect of job autonomy by Latent Moderated Structural Equations. It finds that the perception of general political behavior has a significant negative effect on in-role performance and OCB including group activity participating, social welfare participating; the perception of going along to get ahead has a significant positive effect on in-role performance and 4 dimensions of OCB; the perception of political pay and promotion policy has a significant negative effect on in-role performance and taking initiative behavior, while has a significant positive effect on helping coworkers, group activity participating, social welfare participating;job autonomy can moderates the relationship between POP and in-role performance, all dimensions of OCB but taking initiative behavior. Results indicate that different dimensions of POP has different effects on different job performance, which reveals that it not only improves employee’s job performance but also causes him/her behavior dislocation, as one of the key factors for SOEs inefficiency.
