Analysis on the Lack of Honesty in Contemporary Society of China

Abstract  

Honesty and faith are the traditional virtues of the Chinese people. With the development of the socialistic market economy in China, the lack of honesty and faith in contemporary society of China have become more and more seriously. In this paper, we start with the excavation about the thoughts of honesty from the traditional Confucianism, and then endow the Confucianism with more realistic meanings of our era. Subsequently, we import the conceptions of "the Degree of Social Confidence". Through the three interrelated concepts, we find the reason why there is a lack of honesty and faith in our contemporary society, and then give some proposals.
