Neo-institutional theory is applied to analyze the isomorphism in Chinese business school in this paper. It argues that the Chinese higher business education has reached a stage of institutional isomorphism from competitive isomorphism. All three process of isomorphism (coercive, mimetic and normative) shape the organization field of Chinese higher business education. The field is primarily motivated by mimetic isomorphism at the present time. But in the future, coercive isomorphism will increase, mimetic isomorphism will reduce and normative isomorphism will increase to dominate the field. As the isomorphism in Chinese business school increase, it will reach a threshold and the business schools will seek their own characteristics and differentiate themselves.
